Welcome to the San Diego Accordion Club!!
Based in sunny San Diego, we are passionate about sharing the joy of music and connecting with accordion enthusiasts from all walks of life.
Our Story
It all began with a small group of accordion lovers who wanted to create a community where people could come together to celebrate this unique instrument. San Diego’s Accordion Club was founded in 1988 and was initially named the Accordion Lover’s Society International (ALSI) Over the years, our club has grown into a vibrant hub of creativity and friendship.
Meet Us!
Our dedicated team of musicians and enthusiasts are here to support you on your accordion journey. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, we have something for everyone. The club normally meets from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the second Sunday of each month at Bailey Hall, Mount Miguel Covenant Village, 325 Kempton Street, Spring Valley, CA. Meetings often feature a showcase performance by an accomplished accordionist, plus play by individual members, ensemble, and jam sessions. Ocassionaly musicians with other instruments join in. Members and guests have a great time listening to an afternoon of live accordion music.
Annual Events
Join us for our regular events and workshops where you can learn new skills, meet like-minded individuals, and immerse yourself in the world of accordions. From performances to hands-on sessions, there's always something happening at the San Diego Accordion Club! Annual events include a Valentines Dinner, June picnic with live accordion music at the park, Octoberfest featuring ethnic accordion music, and Heritage Day featuring music based on musicians heritage. Club meeting schedule/featured performers include: December 8 - Holiday Cheer; January 12 - Happy New Year Program; February 9 - Beverly Fess; March 9 - Howard Kantorowski; April 13 - Joanne Pilgrim.

The voice of the San Diego Accordion Club is the club’s monthly newsletter, the REED BLOCK. Its purpose is to communicate and promote all things accordion within our musical community. You’ll see articles on resources, workshops, accordion history, performer bios, teachers, instruction, exercises, sheet music, and upcoming accordion showcases.
